00 The shop
A small crew, one specialism
Sub-Zero Repair Redmond is an independent repair shop covering Redmond and the east side of Lake Sammamish. We are not a dispatch network and we do not subcontract the work out.
Most of what we see was installed between 1998 and today: 600 and 700 series built-ins, BI classics, integrated IT columns, undercounter clear-ice makers and dual-zone wine cabinets. After enough of them, the fault patterns repeat — which is why a phone description plus a model number usually narrows the diagnosis before anyone gets in the van.
Four rules we work to
- 01 One brand, one category
- We work on built-in Sub-Zero refrigeration and nothing else. No ranges, no dishwashers, no laundry. Depth beats breadth when the failure is a sealed system.
- 02 Diagnosis before parts
- Nothing is replaced on suspicion. Readings first, part second. If the reading says the board is fine, the board stays in the machine.
- 03 The price is the price
- You get a written figure before the work starts. If the job turns out smaller than quoted, the invoice comes down. It does not go up without a second conversation.
- 04 We will tell you to stop
- On a thirty-year-old cabinet with a failed compressor and a rusted evaporator, replacement is sometimes the honest answer. We would rather say that than sell a repair that will not last.
On the Sub-Zero name
Sub-Zero Repair Redmond is an independent service company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sub-Zero Group, Inc. Sub-Zero is a registered trademark of Sub-Zero Group, Inc. and appears here only to describe the equipment we repair. Units under factory warranty should go through the manufacturer's own authorized service channel.

before you spend a dollar
Tell us the model and what the unit is doing. If it is a five-minute fix you can do yourself, we will say so. If it needs a van, it is a $89 service call — credited in full against an approved repair — and you get the price for the work before we start.
